Mr. Brian Allen ~ Trustee
Brian Allen was elected to the Pflugerville Board of Trustees in 2019.
He currently supervises a team who provides training deliverables, coordination for messaging goals, and sourcing for marketing campaigns for the Department of Public Safety. His team also delivers technical and analytic support to service managers.
Brian and his wife, Brenda are longtime residents of Pflugerville. Both of their children attended Pflugerville ISD schools. His step-son graduated from Pflugerville High School in 2015 his daughter is in middle school. He is an active member in the community and has served the district in a variety of capacities. Brian has been a member of the District Academic Advisory Council and the PTO. He has also volunteered to assist students in building their reading and comprehension skills.
Brian retired from the Army in 2013 after 24 years of service. During his time in the military he served as a teacher, coach and mentor to thousands of young men and women. He continues to serve Veterans and their families. In 2016, he received the U.S. Congressional Veteran Commendation for contributions to the community. He is a member of the Pflugerville American Legion and the Military Order of the Purple Heart.
Brian has an Associate degree in Business Management from Central Texas College and a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Excelsior College. He earned both degrees while serving in the military. Brian has worked in the public sector for six years in areas such as human resources, curriculum development, organizational leadership development, and training.
As he serves on the Board of Trustees, Brian’s focus includes safety, school board diversity, student and faculty personal growth, professional development, engaged leadership and management of funds.
