Q & A

  • Morning Bus Lane Drop Off Reminders

Please pull up as far as possible before stopping to let your child out of the car (to the end of the curve, if you are at the front of the line). Many times the cars are backed up onto Picadilly waiting to get in the bus lane.

Make sure your child is exiting the vehicle on the passenger/curb side only.

Prepare for drop off at home, so that children can exit safely and quickly when you get to the bus lane. Drivers should not exit the vehicle. If this is necessary to help your child, pull up past the curve to drop off your child. This will help others who have completed their drop off be able to pull around and continue through the bus lane.

Watch for other cars coming up behind you as you leave the drop off area.

If you pull around the stopped cars to go to the end of the curve/front of the line, pull way up making sure your car is completely out of the way of other traffic. Cars which are partially in the drive lane cause a delay in the drop off process for others.

    Car Lane Reminders

Please pull up as far as possible before stopping to let your child out of the car in the morning or get in the car in the afternoon.

At least three cars should be stopped in between the two crosswalks. Make sure there is room for others to pull up behind you.

Watch the crossing guards for direction. They are there to maintain safety and to help the car lane go quickly and smoothly.

Prepare for drop off at home, so that children can exit safely and quickly when you get to school. Drivers should not exit the vehicle. If this is necessary to help your child, pull up to Position 1 to drop off your child. This will help others who have completed their drop off be able to pull around and continue through the car lane.

    Change in Dismissal

Please remember to send a note with your child or call the office by 2pm if you need to make a change in how your child will be going home at the end of the school day.
