Accelerated Math Pathway in Middle School

Parents/Guardians of PfISD 5th graders should be receiving important information this month from your principals about upcoming parent informational meetings about transitioning to middle school and 5th grade visits to their future middle school during a school day. Please be on the lookout for this information.

The 5th grade student visits will be on Jan. 22 during the school day. Students will start and end their day at their elementary campuses.

The 5th grade parent night at all middle school campuses will be Monday, Jan. 27 at 6 p.m.

To help prepare for these informational sessions, the PfISD Advanced Academics Team has a new website dedicated to the Accelerated Math Pathway in Middle School. A link to this website is provided below. Please take some time to explore the page to learn more about the options provided to our middle school students when it comes to their course choices for mathematics.

If your child automatically qualifies for the Accelerated Math Pathway in Middle School, you should be receiving a letter in the mail informing you.

PfISD's counselors look forward to seeing you at your middle school transition meetings as you and your child continue their exciting educational journey.
