Middle School Track & Field Championships Recap

Faster, farther, higher. That was the goal of track & field teams this week at the PfISD Middle School District Championship.
 
Park Crest and Cele came away the big winners with the seventh- and eighth-grade boys and girls teams from each school finishing in the top three.
 
The Park Crest boys seventh-grade team had the most dominant performance of the two-day meet scoring 182.5 points and winning by more than 60 points. The eight-grade boys from PCMS took second place overall.
 
For the eighth-grade girls it was Park Crest getting the win over Kelly Lane with 193.5 points. Cele won the girls seventh-grade competition with 191.5 points.
 
Kelly Lane’s teams also put together a strong meet with the eighth-grade boys winning the meet with 193.333 points. In addition to that win and the eighth-grade girls’ runner-up, Kelly Lane’s seventh-grade girls also took second.
 
The Pflugerville MS boys seventh-grade team finished second behind PCMS.
 
Competition was held over two days with field events contested on Tuesday along with running prelims and finals in some distance events. The boys competed on Tuesday at Hendrickson High School and the girls Day 1 competition was at Connally HS. The running finals were held on Wednesday night at CHS.
