Panthers Perform Well At Regional Science Fair

This report comes from Mrs. Julia Levy, science teacher and regional science fair coodinator for PMS:

I wanted to share with you the results from last night's Austin Energy Regional Science Fair Competition. Pflugerville Middle School was well represented, and we received many compliments from the staff who review the projects that the projects we submit in total are the best of the junior division.

Top three finishes advance to the State science fair. Winners are also invited to exhibit at SXSWEdu.

 Superintendent's Award for best Pflugerville ISD project - Bethany Wong, Lamisa Mahmus, Ngoc Tran

 Animal Sciences: 4th - Dylan Cottar, Xavier Bouldin

 Chemistry: 4th - Adeline Blust

 Cellular and Molecular Biology: 1st place - Bethany Wong, Lamisa Mahmud, Ngoc Tran/ 5th  - Mateo Carlson

 Computer Science software: 5th  - Bailey Hollis

 Mathematical Sciences: 1st - Sage Dunlap/3rd - Trinity Black, Genevieve Windham/4th - Ai-vy Le/5th - Ana Herceg, Nicola Rowe

 Microbiology:1st - Keira Tran/4th - Kenneth Kalu

 Plant Sciences: 4th - Max Richter/5th - Ellianna Bryant

Congratulations to all of the students who participated. I'm proud to report that we had more projects than any other middle school from PfISD.
