December 2019

Posted by David Wiechmann on 11/20/2019

The holiday season has arrived and it is off to a great start. We will be kicking it off by participating in the annual Pfestival of Lights & Christmas Parade. This is a great community event! Thanks for helping with donations and pulling this off. Dearing is lucky to have such a greart PTO and group of volunteers.

Additionally, Thursday, Dec. 19, is our designated class party day. Be sure to check with your child's teacher for details. Don't forget that Friday, Dec. 20 will be an early release day at noon.

Last, but not least, as your child heads off for winter break, please encourage him or her to read daily over the break. We are very excited about the gains we are seeing and don't want to lose ground. Daily reading will help sutdents maintain their current performance levels. We will do mid-year assessments in January and want to be able to celebrate growth.

As usual, thanks for sharing your child with us! We love that we are partnering with you in your child's education.

Below you will find a link to the full version of the December edition of the Dearing Digest. There is information from Nurse Laura about signing up for free flu shots at school and dates/times when our float for the Pfestival of Lights Parade will be built!

Happy Holidays and Best Wishes for a Happy New Year!
