Hendrickson FFA competes at Travis County Youth Show

Hendrickson High School FFA competed at the Travis County Youth Show Jan. 16-18 at the Travis County Expo Center in Austin. 
Hendrickson FFA has 14 sale slots at the county auction this year, led by the following students:

  • Rachel Clark, with a Grand Champion landscape picture,
  • Bryce Baca, with a 5th place pen of rabbits,
  • Ellie Cazzasa, with a 23rd place pen of rabbits,
  • Isaac Hidrogo, with a 1st place market goat,
  • Amanda Carroll, with a 4th place market goat,
  • Faith Cummings, with a  3rd place medium wool lamb,
  • Avery Kurtz, with a  4th place medium wool lamb,
  • Hanna Tuttle, with a 3rd place medium wool lamb,
  • Rachel Clark, with an 8th place medium wool lamb,
  • Noemy Ramirez, with a 10th place medium wool lamb,
  • Sydney Kurtz, with a 3rd place cross market pig,
  • Natalie Barton, with a 6th place cross market pig,
  • Dominic Aldape, with a 7th place cross market pig and
  • Bryce Baca, with a 2nd place market steer. 

The students listed above attended the TCYS auction on Friday. Students receive funds for their project to use for future projects or for college.
Also faring well at the youth show, but unable to qualify for auction slots due to sale rules, were Hendrickson students:

  • Gianna Sangiovani (2nd place for Southdown lamb),
  • Bryce Baca (3rd place for senior market rabbit) and
  • Hanna Tuttle (3rd place for senior market lamb showmanship).
